Starbucks help...why did I have to look on google...

Okay, so I decided to get Starbucks today when I grocery shopping (I've been in a chocolatly death mood, and this is my alternative to a cake lol)... So I'm looking at their dang nutrition thing trying to figure out my calories, and what would be the best "method"...and I suddenly realize....I might have been skipping calories. Not a lot thankfully, but that led to looking into more...which led to google, which led to me being so confused.
Ok, so does anyone know if a frappuccino includes the sauce drizzle? I know it doesn't include the whipped cream.
And if a normal frappuccino includes the drizzle, does a light frappuccino include the drizzle?
I know silly question, but I noticed they still drizzle the syrup on the top of my light drinks, but it didn't come across as included from what I found on google.
Next question - :blushing:
Does anyone know why a Java Chip Frappuccino is more calories than a Double Chocolaty Chip?
Grande Java Chip (nonfat milk) - 300
Grande Double Chocolaty Chip (nonfat milk) - 260
It seems like the only thing its missing is coffee...but I thought coffee didn't really have that many calories. And the Double Chip has extra mocha & chips...so I don't get it. You could add 2 shots of espresso for only 10 calories lol
Sorry, I know, WAY over thinking this stuff, but it bugged me. :grumble:
Thanks for any input.

I'm not sure of their exact calories but I know starbucks has a nutrition calculator thingy, I used it before to figure out how many calories were in a drink I had. I just tried to check for you but their website is down! sorry0

on the actual starbucks website you can calculate pretty much everything, including what kind of milk you have in it etc.
i agree..it's easy to think drinks don't have calories... but knowledge is power!!0 -
I tried the Starbucks website, but they never have a calorie count for the drinks I get. I can't remember the exact phrase, but its something like "No nutritional information for this drink".0

I would try again- unless you are getting some crazy specialty drink they have every drink they offer on their menu, and you can pick and choose the milk, whip cream, and extra stuff. If you aren't sure you could always add a serving of hersheys syrup to your log to count as the drizzle. Good luck!0

Tall vanilla skinny latte=90 cals and delicious, BTW. :-)
I remember the day I learned that drinks had calories in them (and lots, too!)
Saddest. Day. EVER.0 -
And this is why I still have an unused $15.00 gift card in my purse from my birthday last year.... lol That and I would have to go clear across town to get to Starbucks, and it just isn't worth the trouble to me.0

the drizzle really isnt supposed to be on there if there isnt any whipped cream. their hot drinks's are generally less calories then their fraps btw. (not always but for the most part)0

Woot. I checked the website again, and this time it worked. I couldn't customize though / But still better than it telling me it didn't have nutritional information. Starbucks is more like a ice cream with caffeine for me lol I don't like coffee, so I pretty much never get their hot stuff.
Thanks everyone. I was going nuts earlier.0 -
i'm a pretty hardcore coffee drinker. i usually get a french press black coffee. no sugar, no cream. and lucky for me, it's 0 calories. bc even if it were 150 cals, i would have to find a way to fit it into my quotas!
FYI, even though it's not on the menu, you can order a "short" size of any drink. automatically cuts all the cals and fat. and it might be just small enough to satisfy your craving without overdoing it.0 -

Hmmmm, how come French press coffee has zero calories, but regular drip and espresso have calories? Do the calories get stuck in the press? We're only talking from 5-15 depending on the quantity, so the difference isn't much but it can add up.0 -
