180 calories in my 150 g of grapefruit? Is that right?

An it was only half of the fruit... :grumble:

That does not sound right. I think I record a whole grapefruit as120 cal.
  • Mine comes up 104 for the whole grapefruit...

Oh my no!! 1/2 grapefruit is 43 calories. That is for a pink average size fruit - the calories was written on the back of the bag (I bought a 5lb bag). Large grapefruits would be more.

Without.. I'm not sure, I'm new to this weighing thing. I have a cheapo scale from walmart - it's not digital. Maybe I should return it and dish out a couple more $$ for the better scale??

No, just use it for things that NEED to be weighted. 1/2 grapefruit calories are 43-55 calories each, no need to weigh. Weigh your potatoes, pasta and your meat. I have a cheepo scale just to keep me in balance but I only need it a couple times a week and shouldn’t need it after a while if you are eating the same foods.

Get the digital scale.. it's well worth it, and you won't have to second guess yourself. I bought one from Walmart for $20 and have had it for 2 years.

I just typed it in - it was already logged into MFP. I just eat the fruit, peeled, no sugar or salt - nothing.

    Just the fruit.

    So should I just quick-add 50 cals?
