This one was a no-brainer

Ok, so I picked up the flue from my kids and of course, I didn't feel like eating. Total calorie intake was/ still is less than 1,000 for the last 3 days. Ya, I was a little weak the first day when I ate basically nothing. But today, I have been active around the house and playing with the kids and I didn't need all that much for food today for energy's sake. I had a bowl of cereal (dry, the milk was upsetting my tummy) and a tall glass of OJ, and for lunch, a blueberry muffin and for dinner, the same...I didn't feel like cooking more than once. Later tonight I had an apple. I know I can't go on like this forever because I'll have those cravings for my favorite meal or snack and I'll have company over, parties etc. But the no-brainer part is that I don't need all the calories that I think I need. I don't need to stuff myself every meal...duh!!!!! I'm so glad I came to this conclusion. I also kept myself busy today, trying not to think about being nautious...this also kept me out of the kitchen...I love to cook!!!
I don't wish illness on anyone, but this one really did open my eyes to the nasty word, GLUTTENY. Did I spell that right? It's the word that means you eat too much and you are being sinful about it!!!
Putting all religious convictions aside, most of us eat way more than we need to. Let's eat to live and not live to eat....but occasionally enjoy those delicious foods.

Hope you feel 100% very soon and congrats on your realization!

ps...I was born in San Antonio, on the Rio Grande!
  • Thanks...born on the Rio Grande, huh? That's cool. It's not cool here. It's very hot and humid. We stay cool by watering the plants outside and ourselves, too!! You've come quite a ways on your goal. Good Job! I haven't weighed myself in almost a month...because my scale is broken.. I need to get another one. Ok, take care and thanks for replying.
