my goodness I'm XX yrs old (if you really want to know you can look at my profile:P I'll never admit it!) Am I ever going to stop having zits? It's not bad i guess but enough to bother me. I have several spots on my chin mostly that seem to never heal. I can feel a new one (nice & big to!) starting right on a nerve so my chin is sore. and to top it off it's showing red and looking like i got a bee sting on my face!

Anybody have advice on how to make it stop?

i have that occasionally as well. Make sure you use an oil free moisturizer, but DO moisturize so your skin doesn't over compensate and make too much oil. Also I use an acidic zit zapper ( persa gel is good)at night when I feel a big one coming on, but not all over my face, just on that spot. I use a medicated concealer on the spot during the day. Also make sure to wash and moisturize in the AM and PM, drink lots of water.

When you lose weight all the fat soluble hormones are being released into your system and causing many different issues. Time to find a good salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide face wash and a good non oil moisturizer. It does seem to straighten out over time (at least mine did). A tip I keep seeing for redness on the pimple site is eye drops applied with a swab. Supposedly it takes the red out just like it does your eyes.

    Good Luck!
  • When I was 26 I had this problem and I tried a lot of different cleansers etc, whilst I was visiting the doctor (for something else) I mentioned my skin and she thought it to be more hormonal, at the time she put me on a contraceptive pill for acne and my skin clearned up, it even seemed to help the scars too. I wouldn't recommend that you need to do this, I'm just saying that sometimes it can be hormonal too. She was concerned that I might have PCOS, but when I did come off that pill, the zits never came back! :-) I know how much it can bother you, it can also be very very sore too, I felt quite miserable at the time. I hope yours improves soon or you find a solution.
  • Proactive. It really works. I bought some a couple of years ago, just the 30-day trial and used it consistently until it ran out. I only used it once a day because I am older and my break outs were not bad. I have not had any acne to speak of until recently and I purchased it again and within 3-4 days, was gone. You need to make sure and use a good moisturizer, especially being a bit older and use it less often than recommended, but my skin has never looked better. Hope this helps.
