Has anyone tried HCG?

A few of my friends are going through the diet program for 30 days.
My understanding, it only allows food consumption of 500 cal/day. I'm thinking of trying it as I am having a very difficult time
losing weight despite rigorous cardio, strength training, and 1200 cals/day.

Any information/ input would be great!

    I haven't heard of it, but it sounds REALLY difficult to consume only 500 calories a day. Good luck and let us know if you start and how it goes!

    I've heard a lot of bad things about this diet plan. Basically, even if you're burning mass amounts of body fat, 500 calories isn't enough and doesn't allow you to exercise. It's really no different than starving yourself. And hcg is a pregnancy hormone, there's no telling what it will do to your body if you're putting into your system when you're not pregnant.

    You'd be much better off to just limit your intake of refined sugar (I lost 4 pounds in 4 days from doing that), eat more fresh fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water. Watch your sodium intake too. Make sure you're eating your exercise calories, and you might try increasing your daily calorie goal. I started losing faster after I did that.
