I have been in a funk for weeks. I think I might have Seasonal Affective Disorder. I need my sunshine (and my husband to get a day job so we can be home together at night - but that is another story). I have been very emotional and tired recently. I live on the East Coast where we are having a yucky winter. Anyway, I did some research on some light therapy boxes and bought one online from Costco. I am hoping it helps. I don't want to do anything right now - exercise, go out, laugh, socialize, etc. I added express shipping hoping to start using it ASAP. Wish me luck and will keep you posted. :ohwell:

I’ve heard the light boxes work, but haven’t tried them myself. Have you tried taking Vitamin D? My doctor prescribed large quantities of Vitamin D for me after finding I was severely deficient in it. It has really helped my mood. I was also told to sit in the sun 20 minutes per day. (Not likely to happen-I’m in Minnesota and our high is 3 degrees F today!) Good Luck!

I've tried this, but it didn't work for me, so I ended up on antidepressants. But light boxes do work for a lot of people. So good luck & I hope you feel happier soon.

Sometimes you just have to make yourself do things. If you can get in a regular routine of exercise it will help.
