Starting my own business

I've been doing the job search thing for over 2 years now. Never ever imagined I would be unemployed for so long. My friends and family have encouraged me to start my own business. As one guy put it, why work wholesale when you can work retail. So that is what I'm going to do. I'm excited about it.

Any suggestions on business card format and letters of introduction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all!

I printed my business cards on Vista Print: www.vistaprint.com. You can get free cards if you let them put an ad on the back of the cards, or you can pay something like $2.00 to take it off. I ended up paying more for a different style of card, but in total I paid maybe $13.00 for 250 cards, including shipping. I used www.thumbtack.com to advertise my business online, and put up posters around town (at the post office, in grocery stores, etc...). I also have a blog instead of a website because it's free.
  • Starting your own business, how exciting! what might that be may I ask??
Oh yeah, you can get the Microsoft office live web sites for free, just pay $15.00 a year for the domain name you choose.

    Accounting, leaning toward projects.
  • This sounds like a GREAT idea, especially since you're so personable. I'm kind of envious. -Becky
