So, today I went on my treadmill with my pedometer and my HRM. I walked 61 minutes for 3.7 miles. The first 13 minutes I walked 3.5 mph, the next 47 mins 3.8 mph and the last minute was a slow down. My treadmill tells me I burned 424 calories, my pedometer says I burned 350 calories, my HRM says I burned 510 calories and when I tried an online calorie burn calculator, I got anywhere from 246 to 289. So, seriously...which witch do I believe??!

  • I would take the average of you pedometer and HRM.

I would go off of the number that is closest to your body and has your sex and age input. The hrm.

if your HRM uses your age, height, and weight to make its calculations I'd go with it.

When I have differing info I choose the higher calorie count food to track and the lower calories burned to track.
