Calories and Carbs from Gum

How long do I have to chew my gum before I have absorbed the full 5 calories and 2g carbs? I am trying to think of things that could be keeping me from losing weight and the gum (which I chew constantly) is the one thing I haven't accounted for!

I wouldn't worry too much about the gum. At 5 calories per piece, chewing it for 10 or 15 minutes would take care of those calories. You would have to eat (not chew) 700 pieces to gain one pound of fat, so I doubt that it would be the cause of your troubles.0

YOU ACTUALLY BURN 11 CALORIES AN HOUR WHILE CHEWING GUM (AS LONG AS IT'S THE SAME PIECE)...SO IF YOUR NOT CHEWING LIKE 50 PIECES AN HOUR...IT WON'T EFFECT YOUR WEIGHT LOSS AT ALL!!!0

You are all so great!! I am a bit crazy about recording these calories since this is really the first time I have recorded my food consumption. Of all the times I have dieted (successful or not) I haven't done so well with keeping track of what I eat/drink! After being on board with this way of doing things I have only dropped about a pound and I am just not used to that pace. I know I just have to hang in there, but it isn't going to be easy!0
