Happy Saturday, everyone! it's a lovely 6.5 degrees here! WhooHooo!

What's on tap for you today? I'm going to be working on my ham radio setup, adding a packet station to it, then this afternoon, headed down to Greenwood to meet about 50 Geocachers for a late lunch and event. :) It's going to be a great day!

How about you?

My family is gone for the weekend. All boys. They left yesterday. So I plan on doing any girly thing I want when I get home and looking forward to it. :)
  • You've inspired me IndyRick. I am heading over to Hampstead Heath, the biggest green space in London (and just across the street from me), to do some gadding about. Have a great day.

My Saturday involves a bunch of work, but I just finished a ride on my stationary bike. That makes 22 workouts in the 22 days of 2011.

    Good thread!

    Good morning!

Balmhy 5 degrees here too...ugh, I am so sick of winter!

Odds & ends mostly on the agenda for the day... some cleaning, laundry. Will squeeze in a walk or a workout somewhere along the way, just not sure where yet.

    Have a great day everyone!
  • It's a lovely -1 this morning but with the windchill it is an exceptional -14...woohoo.

I plan on doing things in the house that need to get done such as finish painting my dining room, taking the Christmas decorations back to the basement, getting boxes around for the Salvation Army.

Nothing spectacular. Not much to do when it's so cold out.

    Happy Saturday.

Day off for me, I've been to the gym every day this week so I feel that a rest day is on the cards.

I also have to go to a meeting to organise a Yorkshire 3 peak challenge.

Here in the northwest of England (I'm near a place called Blackpool) it's 3 degrees celsius. Not much planned as I fell and hurt my knee on Thursday ( I sooooooo wanted to cry but held it back). The knee is bruised, scabby and sore so I'm resting up.

I'll be settling down this evening with a glass of red wine, my weekend treat.

    Have a loverly weekend everyone!

  • It's -8 (feels like -15) here in Nova Scotia, Canada. Our house is for sale and today is all about a house showing. Most of the cleaning done yesterday so the finishing touches today. Fingers crossed this the the one!

Wow! And I've been whining about temps in the mid-thirties. Brrr!! This Texas girl can't wait for summer!

Today we finish moving my boyfriend out of his apartment and into my house. I helped him move into it 2 years ago so I know that man's got some stuff!!
  • My roommates are out on saturdays so I'll be home to enjoy the peace and the quietness. Watch some tv, read a good book, get online and have a glass of wine.

Its 5 degrees here in Wisconsin, and the wife and I cleared the living room last night so that the both of us could work out together and not hit eachother. After I vaccumed, she mentioned that now that stuff is moved that today would be a good day to shampoo the carpet.

Thanks hunny. Add that to the list of chores to keep the peace in home. lol

I have to catch up on my treadmill kilometers if I want to make my goal of 100km for the month. This whole back to work thing is messing with my exercise lol.

By the way I used to geocache. It has been a long time, but it was fun while I was doing it, and I have been studying for my HAM ticket on and off for years but have never been motivated enough to actually go write the exam, (both my parents are HAMS
    VE1 MM and VE1 BIP)

I thought for a minute you were here in Nova Scotia- I live in Greenwood....NS :)

Oh, and it is -7c here and with the windchill it is -17c

Gym as soon as I get my contacts in... then prepare for a double birthday party for my husband and Father in Law tonight. Hub's was yesterday, FIL's today. They're both named Fritz so we're calling it Fritzmas!

It'll also be the first time my siblings, their spouses, nieces & nephews meet the in-laws. We had a small courthouse wedding with only our parents.

So with lots of food and cake... I really NEED to hit the gym this morning to undo the damage I'll do later!

After yesterdays -14, I wake up to a balmy 9 this morning. Today is my cheat day and my day off from working out. Got plenty of things to do around the house that will burn calories and need to get out and shovel since it was too cold to do that yesterday. That also will burn some calories. I guess even on the off days from the equipment I still find ways to burn the fat.
Happy Saturday everyone and stay warm.

Nothing so exciting or me I'm afraid. Cleaning house from top to bottom. We're in the middle of having a wet room installed, and my goodness the house is covered in dust. Need to get it cleaned up before the guys come back Monday. Oh and maybe have a drink or two. Will count them though....no going over for me. Enjoy your day!!

I must be in the middle of a "heat wave". 19 degrees here in VA. LOL I plan to go to gym with my daughter then pick up some prescriptions from my pharmacy. After that I am picking up tickets for a "Ghost Watch" on Monday night at a local "mansion" here in the town I grew up in. It is a first time event for me but I have heard about it all of my life. I have toured the house but never the tunnel that leads down to the river since it is only open for this event. Once I get home it's laundry and I hope to finish up one pillowcase that I am embroidering to donate to a silent auction for a charity event for my Personal Trainer. She has Van Buchem's disease. It is a very rare bone disease that makes her jawbone grow and it is now pressing on her nerves to her eyes and ears. She is scheduled for surgery in California on February 22, 2011 so let's all pray for her success. And guess what???? Insurance is fighting paying for this (in their words) unnecessary surgery. :explode: Hope everyone has a good day.

And Rick I love your idea of posting a daily blog. I will look forward to it everyday.

Getting ready to head out the door for work until 5. Then loading the last of the Christmas stuff into the van to take to storage and pick up some supplies for my little furkids. Then home to clean some more and hook up my dvr so I can put in some walking DVD's!

Oh - and not to rub it in - but it is a pleasant 64F here in south Florida this morning. I do not miss those cold temps I'm reading about at all!

I think it's supposed to be up to 23 degrees later here in sunny Philadelphia, so maybe I'll grab the suntan lotion and lay out in the backyard??? Ugghh! So sick of this weather, already. Wish I had a cool place like Hampstead Heath to "gad" about in like one of the English posters, so maybe I'll just hit the mall for some shopping. Have a great weekend everyone.

I am going to write my paper for school as it's due today.
I am going to do laundry.
I am going to eat healthy & TRY to get some exercise in even though I am not feeling well (I should at least be able to handle half an hour of Wii fit!)
I am going to venture to the mall (even though I don't feel good) because I have guys at work waiting on refill minutes for their phones that they need by today from verizon.
I am going to make dinner.

I think that'll probably be it.

Weather.com says it's 11 degrees here right now, with a high expected today of 19 - BRRRrrrrrrrr
(although not quite as bad as 6.5!)

i will be shoveling my way out of the house, you know there is something to be said about condo living
  • It is a warm 10 degrees or so here in ohio. I am anxious for warmer weather. I am going to try and get lots accomplished. Been trying to get on the treadmill for weeks and havent managed to do it. I've been so sick since my surgery in November. Everytime I think I am feeling better and on the mend I take steps back. So frustrating. And I haven't lost any weight throughout this whole ordeal.

today I am going to clean the house....then coach high school bowling....then my husband and I are going to meet a friend for drinks. This is a friend who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She hasn't been up to meeting us until now so I am happy to see her. We are bowling in an event in Feb called Bowl for Cure and i had tshirts made for it, they are soo cool, they are hot pink with a cute chick on the front holding two bowling balls in front of her boobs and it says bowl for cure team Vicki on them. So cute. That will be my day.....

I've spent 3hrs at the yard today and went for a good 1.5hr ride with my friend... burning somewhere in the region of 600 cals just for the ride. Now I'm back home trying to figure out how I'm going to manage to eat my calorie allowance! ha ha

Well apparently my morning starts a little later than most of you.

I am hitting up the gym and hopefully getting all my errands done.

A nice healthy dinner and off to sleep so I can do this all over again Sunday!

    Go bears!
