...So I have been working out for 2 weeks now, the first day was brutel. I work out at 24hr fitness before work so Im usually at the gym by 6:00am, the first day I had an apple and got sick in the middle of my weight training, and so I learned not to eat in the morning. However, I am still getting quezy when lifting weights.... Im okay doing cardio... anyone have any suggestions or why this is happening. It's kinda unmotivating

I used to get the same way, I'm not entirely sure why it happens. Basically, your body gets used to it over time, you just have to tough it out. Stay away from orange juice, and vitamins first thing before you lift because both can be rough on your stomach. Try some carnation instant breakfast or a protein shake.. they're a lot more gentle on your system and may help.

I'd have to see what you're doing, and how you're doing it. If you're holding your breath or locking your knees, form could be causing your nausea. Or you simply have to pick the right thing to eat (apple sometimes cause my stomach to feel more acidic if I don't eat anything with them). Or, you're simply exerting yourself. I get nauseas every leg day...it's really hard, sweaty, tiring work. But that's the point of a workout. It's not supposed to be easy or feel like yoga. It's supposed to be challenging and uncomfortable.
  • thanks for the advise, I feel better knowing its not just happening to me  Ill stick it out and hope it gets better.

    THANKS AGAIN!:flowerforyou:

The first time I lifted seriously was as a freshman in high school. I can still remember it because I could barely move my arms and shuffled more than walked for the next couple of days. My muscles were so sore. But after that initial shock my body grew use to it and I got a 'good' soreness that was short-lived instead of that brutal pain I got at the start.

Needless to say, in my youthful exuberance, I pushed too hard at the start.

Just take it easy, go lighter, do less reps, give your body a chance to adjust. You've got plenty of time to pick up the intensity later.

And, have you had a qualified trainer help you with your workout plan and lifting techniques. A couple sessions is all you'd need.

A glass of water with a protein shake or something light.

You're probably eating the wrong stuff.

    Try protein.

Apples are a bit sugary for ya.
