I haven't been able to find them in my area. I am dying to try them though. I am going to Michigan this weekend I will have to search there as well. I bought the Hungry Girl cook book and she uses them alot.

I was looking at the website again this morning on those. I soooooooo want to try them but can't find them anywhere in my area either... at least not yet!!! I'm in Michigan and the only place they have them is on the other side of the state the website says... but I'm still looking diligently! lol

They are AWFUL! I am CONVINCED HG is getting a cut of the profit for promoting these things. They have a fishy smell and a rubber band texture. I was so excited about them, that I bought 4 packages. 2 of them are going back to the supermarket today. I couldn't choke down any of it.

I found them at the commissary on base here and bought some. I used them in a stir fry asian dish and they're amazing! They really have no flavor (you have to wash them off because they come in this liquid stuff) but they take on the flavor of whatever sauce you use. They also hold up really well. I thought they would fall apart or crumble, but they didn't. They're in the refrigerated section, usually in the same area as regular tofu. I'm buying more today... you can eat a whole package for only 40 calories!

(sitting here reading my hungry girl cookbook...)

Funny you brought this up, I am going to try and find some today as well! Although living in Canada I think it might prove to be a challenge!

there's more than one type of shirataki noodles. the tofu shirataki have a better flavor and better texture. The original "miracle noodle" shirataki is suppossedly really rubbery and nasty tasting.
