BEARS v PACKERS = FOOD!

Well tomorrow is the big day! BIG GAME! WOOT! Very excited around here!
Nervous. anxious. worried about FOOD. Like most holidays, (and this is a special event kinda holiday), it is about the food. Ususally, I would be making little hot dog wraps, Velveeta cheese nacho dip and having plenty to drink.

I am going to approach this differently, and try not to make this about the food.
The question becomes: Can you be in a party atmosphere with all the food and fun and excitment and still have as much fun? Do I need to eat and drink to be merry?
So, I am headed out to do some shopping and come up with some dips and things to snack on that I can feel good about, while having a great time!

    I am a packer fan but.... I have to say this is going to be the BEST game I have seen in a long time! 2 TRUE rivals! Veggies, hummas, nuts, light chips or crackers! You can do it!

    try hummus with whole wheat pita and apple with peanut butter. You can also cook fresh popcorn with garlic salt and pepper with a little real butter. I love these new lentil baked chips which I think you can only get at Whole Paycheck (aka Whole Foods).

    Opt for heatthier snacks like low sodium/ 2% cheese products/ whole grain chips...etc. It's ok to ride next to the wagon for a while as long as you get right back on! :)

    That being said GO PACKERS!!!! CHEESEHEAD FOR LIFE!!!!

    Thanks! I had Humus on the list and I really like the Eating Right sea salt and cracked pepper Pita Chips. Thanks for the tips!

    All I know is I HAVE to have chili on game day, or they may loose. LOL Other than that, I'm looking for a few figure friendly drinks, because I like all the girly stuff, and that's so high in calories! But, I honestly don't care, all calories are done WHEN the bears win, I will be celebrating right! hahha

    Bearrrrrrrrrrsssssssssssss!! I was at the ticker tape parade in Chicago in 1983! Would be awesome to see em win and get a shot at the Superbowl! Goooooooooo Bears!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I'm thinking some very healthy Chili and some cut up veggies for dipping. :)

    When it comes to celebrating you have 2 ways to go.
    "I don't care and will eat what I want for this one day" way
    or
    "I have made a change in my life and this day is no different than any other" way.

    When I was on track I enjoyed my 3 chicken wings, loads of veggies, 3 tbls of hummus, and crunchy homemade pita chips I walked aroudn with the same plate and 3 saucy chicken wings for hours. No one knew or cared if it was my 3rd or 10th.

    It is no big deal to over eat on one day........so if your gonna do it then do it with no guilt.

    Enjoy the time with friends and family!!!

    Reboot........and scoot...........
