Been lurking for the last couple of weeks, have been entering my data and working out a the gym with a "coach". She basically reviews my food entires, tells me what I am doing right/wrong, then sends me on to the treadmill.
After being told by several people in the medical profession the reason that my back hurts is because I am overweight I am going to lose the weight and prove to them there is more than just a wieght issue. I am having a hard time doing any kind of acctivity since any movement in the low back/hips causes mild pain the just gets progresively worse until I end up at the ER for pain killers. Which of course they tell me that I need to not exercise since it causes pain.
Things went well the first weeks, and then went down hill from there on the pain issues. I have lost 6 lbs since between Christmas and New Years but ended up in the ER again last week. I haven't been to the gym since and am a little afraid to go back. Just sitting here typing this I am losing tough with my middle three toes and feel like my entrire left leg is coated in icy hot with bugs running around under the skin. Anyone else with back issues? If so what are you doing for exercise?

Welcome. I just typed "exercises for people with" in my search engine and came up with tons of webpages devoted to people with bad backs, people in wheelchairs, etc. Give that a try. If you are suffering so much on the treadmill it might be that you aren't ready for the treadmill yet.0
