I just got back from a wonderful night. I am tired, had about 2 hours of sleep. My husband told me to gear up last night around 10pm. Leather jacket, jeans, gloves, wind guard, night glasses, helmet.
OK, I thought. Shortly after our friend pulls up on his Harley. Now I am thinking we are going for a night ride (late) and we have nobody to watch the kids. Allen comes in hands me his keys to his Dyna and says have fun. I was shocked:noway: I haven't ridden in in over 5 years. My husband pulls out his Harley and we were off to the coast for a midnight ride. Allen stayed with the kids.
After about 5 minutes, I was back in the saddle. It was wonderful. We got there around 1am. Walked along the beach. Took a snooze and rode down HWY 1. No traffic and a bit chilly. We had breakfast at sunrise in Morro Bay. Headed home and hit a traffic jam of a life time. We rode the sholder for a bit until we say a highway patrol-I don't have the correct lic. so we waited like all the rest.
I ENJOYED every minute. I miss riding. I love being on the back, but there is no feeling like the open rode on your own.
Husband is heading to work and I am taking my daughter to the park after I get all the crap off my face. We were in a lot of constrution. My face is sooooo dirty.
I hope you all have a great day.

And Highway 1, too! Oh man--God made California for motorcyclists! We used to love riding from the Bay Area down to Santa Cruz and Monterrey when we were out there in the 80s.

I miss riding soooo much but had to sell my bike last year--screwed up my shoulder several years back in a crash and just got to where I couldn't ride anymore.

Sounds like you had a great time. I can not wait to ride my new bike. I havnt even seen it in person yet.

2008 Harley FLHX Street glide. I wish my GF would learn to ride. I took her for her first ride last year and she loved it. I know she would enjoy riding her own.

only 35 days till im home.......not like im counting or anything.
