Hello. My name is Cindy. I'm 43 and need to lose 80 to 90 pounds. I had actually lost more than that when I was 38 and the weight fell off me within 9 months and was even in Prevention Magazine. I let severe stress let old habits creep back in and I gained much of the weight back. I'm seriously frustrated as I'm doing exactly what I did 5 years ago to lose the weight and the scale is NOT budging.

Anyone out there sharing this same struggle and want to buddy up with me? Send me a friend request.

You know times have changed and attitudes and techniques for weight loss changed also. I am also in forties and working to lose kilos I had already lost and my approach this time is completely different and whilst the progress is slower Im losing weight and feeling fitter and with more energy. This might be a blessing as doing something the same way isnt necessary the best way. This might be the time to research and try other ways of losing the weight. Im currently on the csiro diet and Ive joined the gym did my first jog today Iam so proud of myself (I have a lot more weight to lose than you in case you were thinking I was a skinny gym bunny). So pack away the last weight loss experience and write a new chapter in your weight loss journey. Good Luck :)

Hi Cindy! I have a sister named Cindy and she is very dear to me. I don't know if you are a watcher of Dr. Oz, but I caught an episode not too long ago he did on health plagues of women over 40. Here is the link to part 1: http://www.doctoroz.com/videos/6-health-plagues-women-pt-1

On that same page you can find the links to parts 2 and 3. I found it very interesting, especially the part about bloating.(his recommendation works for me!) He has a lot of other good information on his website especially for women that are not 20 somethings. lol Keep in mind that it may take a little time to get your metabolism engine firing again. Don't give up! I wish you the best of luck!!
