I'm 22 and a mother of a 5 year old daughter, in the last 3 years I've put on a lot of weight, I work full time and go to school full time. I dont have a lot of time to work out or worry about what I'm eating.I'm starting to worry that my daughter is picking up on my bad habits and need support to change them.I'm not gonna find support from my family (they are all overeaters).I'm hoping that I will find a god support group here!

hi, welcome!
wow sounds like a busy life. What I sometimes do is cook all my meals for the week on a day when I don't have anything on then freeze them in portioned sizes and defrost as needed. Then you don't have to spend time cooking everyday (which is where I find readymeals looking rather tempting lol). Hope that helps. Feel free to add me.
Good luck0 -
I'm a new member myself and from what I've read on the forums, you'll find the support you need right here0

Hi, join in on our Starting January thread, there's loads of us there who all started this month and are happy to help. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/146800-starting-january-2011 I'm a lone parent, (I have a boyfriend, but we don't live together yet etc). The only free time I get, is every other weekend, when my mum has my son, but that'll change once he hits school. I have workout DVD's, but by the time I put my son to bed, that leaves me with 2-3 hours to cook, wined down etc. I've found the things that work for me so far, house work (yawn, but it works), walking, Playstation Move and racing my son up stairs. But even when I'm not active, as long as I stick to my calories, I still loose. As long as you stick to yours, you'll be fine. I also found on this healthier lifestyle, that I can still have all my goodies, just in moderation, or I workout so I can have them. Wishing you all the best and happy to support you!0 -
Welcome..I'm a newbie too.. We'd get there together0
