Welcome! You will love it here! I've belonged to Sparkpeople for literally years. Myfitnesspal is much more personable and the food database is great.
Good luck to you.

welcome... this is a great site filled with lots of helpful people... you'll love as I do... advice is to just stay focused... some days will be easier then others but dont lose focus... we are all human and sometimes we fall off its how we deal with the aftermath thats key...0

Hi! I've only been using it a few days and love it. I've even roped in a few friends into using it too!0

I am so glad I was told about this site from a friend. It's an amazing tool to keep track of our food intake and exercise. This tool really helps me plan out my meals for the day to ensure I stay within my calorie intake.
We need to remember that this weight was not put on over night and it will not come off over night as well. It takes time and slow and steady is the key.0 -

Hello I found spark people good for the community etc but it all got a bit too confusing at times and could rarely find foods on the database with me living in the UK most foods were US based so it got pretty hard !
So i'm hoping to settle in here nicely.
It looks easier and simple but still with the right tools to help with weight loss !0 -
Sorry I didnt even realise a lot more people had commented !
Thankyou all so much am sure I will get in the swing of things soon !
And yes its right we didnt wake up with this weight and we wont wake up without it unless we work hard !0 -
Hi there.
I lost just under 2 stone with SparkPeople last year. However, it was just far too 'americanised' (i live in the UK and was finding it hard to cope with the variance in foods and the measurements) for me to cope with it long term, and i stopped using it when i started experiencing a bit of trouble when i thought i was going to loose my house... and put a stone back on.
I found Myfitnesspal while i was aimlessly scrolling through my iphone and i'm really glad i did!
I hope you find all of the resources that you need here, as do i, as i am a newbie myself.
Take care of yourself and have a great day!0
