Battling the aging process one day at a time

If you are anything like me, you want to maintain your youthful look as long as possible. I am a 47 year old male that has been active most of my life with sports and gym time. Since turning 40, it has become more difficult to maintain the same level of fitness. The joints are starting to reveal the wear and tear of more than 30 years of lifting and contact sports. I am trying to learn how to work out with these limitations but find it difficult. My mind still thinks I am 25 but my body reminds me otherwise….:smokin:

You're not alone! After a bout of heavy yard work a few years ago, my knee sent me running/limping to the doctor. Anti-inflammatories, ice, heat, PT, nothing helped but resting it. Doc even aspirated fluid to check for gout (really???). Couple weeks later doc orders an MRI. When they called to tell me osteoarthritis I absolutely couldn't believe it. I was only 43 at that time!
Getting old sucks but beats the alternative. Now I have to really pay attention when doing squats, etc. But I can still do 'em! and so can you. Rest days become very important as we age.
Cheers
