Hey, all! I am 25 and have about 30-40 to lose. I was wondering if anyone else was the same? I have been on this site for about 2 weeks now and tomorrow is my second weigh in day. I'm nervous because I havent been eating back all the calories I burn from exercise. Anyone else in the same boat?

Hey! I'm 25 and am in the middle of losing 35 pounds total, and maybe more afterward? After about 13-15 pounds gone I wasn't losing weight for a while, though I was still losing inches, so I bumped up my goal from 2lbs/week to 1lb/week (1.5lbs/week was still 1200 cal. a day), since on the forums I've read that sometimes you have to eat more to lose more as you get closer to your goal. So if you find that not eating your exercise calories is preventing you from losing anything, try eating some more of them. Your body might need more fuel to burn! Good luck0

Hey Sherry2006. I'm with you I want to loose like 44lbs to be my dream weight. Don't be nervous about your weigh in. some days I eat all my calories and others I force myself. Just keep drinking plenty of water and listening to your body. If you're actually hungry then eat. If not don't push it. I'm sure...no, I know you're going to do great with your weigh in.0

That's pretty close to my description - 26 and wanting to lose 40-50 lbs. I have been at this on MFP for two and a half weeks. My daily calorie goal is 1290. I consistently come in under that goal without exercising. So far I have lost 10 lbs. Although I try to eat at about the same times everyday, I work long hours late at night and it's sometimes very hard to do that. I keep a bowl with grapes, sliced apples, and/or peeled oranges with me and snack on a couple pieces to tide me over when I can't make my meal as planned or to help me last until it's time to eat. For when I eat out, I made a list of what I could eat at my favorite restaurants and all the nutritional info for each item. It's helped a lot for those spur of the moment dinners out which leave you little time to fully look up things before you order.0
