What is the purpose in drinking a shake (meal replacement for less calories?) ?

When do you drink yours?

What kind do you drink?

I drink mine as a post run drink...I blend 8 oz almond milk, 1 level scoop protein powder, some ice, and whatever kind of fruit I have on hand. (Some people add spinach, tofu, peanut butter). I don't use mine as a replacement but as a way to refuel and replenish-plus it tastes pretty darn good!!!

I drink Isagenix Isalean Shakes. I use them as a meal replacement on the mornings that I plan to run. My tummy can't digest food fast enough for me to eat before I run. The shake gives me the energy I need to run without causing any stomach cramps.

I drink a Xocai shake in the morning. For me it's a way to make sure I have all the nutrients(I have a hard time getting enought iron for exemple) I need and it's full of antioxidents. It replace my breakfast but I add a banana to my shake.

When I drink shakes I usually do so after resistance training or as a breakfast replacement. I like Ultramet shakes from Champion. Mixed with skim milk, they are soooo good.

I drink Shakeology in the evenings, it really helps me because I am a night snacker and this keeps from from digging into the pantry for something naughty.

Doesn't have to be Shakeology, any protein shake would work, I'm sure.

I have a Protikee shake for breakfast, I have trouble eating first thing in the morning but I can manage a shake. Then another at work during my break, I'm a slow eater and only get a very short break, and a shake is quick & easy to make & drink.
