So, today I posted a question on Facebook: “When it comes to snacking.. what is your favorite and why?” which really turned out to be a long thread of interesting answers. I’m always looking to learn what people eat for snacks since I am a snack lover myself… HEALTHY SNACKS THAT IS ;-)

But, the conversation kinda took a different direction and one Facebook friend asked a question about WHEAT….

It does not surprise me that so many people don’t know the dangers of wheat so I was not shocked by the her question at all. Heck, I was clueless about it before I discovered the dangers of it. What you DON’T know CAN hurt you!

So, her question was:

Can you to explain the wheat thing to me? I always thought wheat was good for you but now I hear different!

And my answer to her was:

And my answer was: “In a nutshell… Wheat/Gluten is better than white bread/flour products….but…some people do not know that they allergic to Wheat/Gluten. Scientists have long known that chronic degenerative and inflammatory conditions are most highly prevalent in those populations who regularly consume wheat products. For example… about 8 years ago (for 4 years straight)… I was suffering from Chronic Sinus Infections and Fibromyalgia and swelling of my ankles. After doing some research and speaking to a few alternative health practitioners, I discovered that I was allergic to dairy and wheat and I was told to stop eating it and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. And so I stopped eating dairy and wheat and guess what happened? My sinus infections completely disappeared, my fibro got better… (it’s pretty much completely gone)….and my ankle swelling is completely gone. Do some research for yourself and you will see. So, that is why I recommend products like the Ezekiel Brand and the Van’s Brand when you want Bread, Waffles, Etc. Hope that helps.

I thought this information could help a lot of people so I decided to turn it into a blog post.

Here are the products that I recommend that are wheat and gluten free:

1) Ezekiel Products: http://www.foodforlife.com

2) Kinnikinnick products: http://www.kinnikinnick.com

3) Van’s products: http://www.vansfoods.com/

I hope this blog post was helpful to you.
