So today was going to be a good day! I had 2 seperate interviews with the Canadian Border Services agency. One at the Queenston- Lewiston Bridge and one at the Peace Bridge. I left at around 9:15 for my first interview at 10:00 in Queenston, knowing it was only 15 minutes away. After realizing I had turned the wrong way off the exit, not long after I had exited, I turned around. Only to be stopped by what had to be the longest train, at least 15 minutes. I finally got to the interview with 9 minutes to spare. The interview, I feel, went well. I left excited and energized.

I came home between my interviews to say good bye to my husband, who was going to Italy for 12 days for the World Team Cup Wheelchair Tennis Tournament, he's a touring coach with Tennis Canada. I told him about the interview and how I almost thought I was going to be late for the interview because of the train. I gave him a kiss good bye and decided to go to my parents house to spend the 2 hours I had before I needed to leave for my next interview.

I left at 2:00 for my 3:00 appointment in Fort Erie, knowing it should take me aprox. 34 minutes to get there, once again including a 20ish minute buffer. I had just passed the Gilmore Rd. exit when all of a sudden all my dash lights came on and my car was completely stalled as I was still driving on the highway! I managed to cost past the on coming on ramp to the shoulder of the road. I knew that I didn't have much further to go, but not exactly how far and if I called the towing agency I would need to stay by my car. At this pont I looked at my cell and knew I had 30 minutes to still to try to get to my interview.

I decided I was gonna start walking and I did high heels and all. Of course calling any one I could as I did so. About 1 km down the road I got to the next exit, only to see a sign that informed me I had 2.6 km more until the exit I needed, and I would still have to walk further after that. I realized that there was no way I was going to make it. I tried calling over and over to the agency but I couldn't get through and could only leave a message. In the meantime, I called the towing company and walked back to the car. As I stood beside the car, chugging the only bottle of water I had, a police car pulled behind my vehicle.

I proceeded to tell him my unfortunate cercumstances, at which time he began asking me where my interview was, with whom and when. I honestly think that he was willing to drive me to my appointment. However, by this point, I was already half an hour late for the appointment and had been told by the towing company that I had to be with my vehicle or they wouldn't tow it, otherwise I would have taken that police escort to my interview. What a way to show them I'd make sure I always got to work.

Finally, the tow truck came and drove me and my car home, as I have no idea where my husband would tell them to bring it. When I got in and checked my messages, the first one was from my husband. He just wanted to say goodbye before his plan took off and tell me how he and his athletes had bee bumped up to first class for their flights!!!!!!!!

I WAS SOOOOOO GLAD FOR HIM..........NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways, that was my day.....how were yours?

POOOOOOOOOOP! I hate car problems. Sounds like it could be your alternator--they are relatively inexpensive, if that's any consolation.

Did you hear back from the other place? Can you reschedule?

    Good luck!!

I'm "hoping" I hear from them tomorrow! and I should actually hear how my first interview wen tomorrow aswell. Maybe it was something telling me I didn't want to drive to Fort Erie everday. My family keeps telling me that "everything happens for a reason!" I think their just trying to make me feel better!

    Thanks though!

My day was rather boring compared to yours:happy: Just doing some spring cleaning:frown: I think the worse is over for you, it's all up hill now. It's possible you got the first job and not all was in vain. Sounds like it is closer for you to drive to anyway. Good Luck:flowerforyou: Your husband going to France? and first class all the way:drinker:

Well, Toronto to France then France to Italy! Thanks for the positivity! Maybe something was telling me I didn't want to drive to Fort Erie everyday!
