    I made them with just applesauce for the oil and not impressed. The flavor was fine but they just weren't moist enough. The texture was way off. They tasted good though. After 2 days the texture was fine but for some reason out of the oven not quite right. I'd def use oil next time ;)

    I've used apple sauce instead of oil and while the flavor was great, the texture could have been better. I'm going to tweak things and see if I can get them more brownie like.

    BTW - Cannellini beans are not an acceptable substitution for black beans. :sad:

    Sorry, I thought they were gross. I did use another Tb of cocoa, and I am sure that helped with the taste some. But the texture was nothing like brownies. Two of my kids covered them with frosting, and they could eat them like that.

    I think if it was a recipe that included flour, they would be better. But, I don't buy box mixes, so I don't want to try that recipe either.
