Protein Powders for Smoothies

I use Whole Foods 365 Vanilla Whey Protein Powder 80 cals/scoop. It has the best flavor of any that I have tried, and is reasonable cost wise.
I just stick with vanilla since it is the most versatile. If you want something chocolately, just add some unsweetened cocoa. Or if you want something fruity, use nectar or juice as a base instead of milk.
For my basic smoothies (makes 2) I usually use a medium frozen banana, 1 cup plain non fat yogurt, 1 cup "milk" (skim, soy, almond, whatever), 2 tsp of flax seeds, 2 scoops of protein powder and ice to desired consistency. If I want chocolate I'll add some cocoa powder, or if I want coffee flavor, a tsp of ground coffee.
I also love to make a lime smoothie in the summer: same as above but I add the juice from a lime or 2 (depending on how citrusy you want it!). Like "drinking" a piece of key lime pie! One of my favorite post work out treats @ that time of year.0
