I am getting married in six weeks and although unrealisitic, I would like to drop a few pounds before. I just started my very first job in October as an Attorney and my lifestyle went from fit and active to sedentary and flabby. So ready for a change, hope this inspires me to get moving and eat better!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I would highly recommend shedding some before the wedding - you will be surprised how much you want to just hybernate after your big day. Good luck! Welcome to MFP!!!0

Good luck and congratulations! Start with drinking enough water every day. It'll help you lose a few 'bloat' pounds and make everything a little tighter.0

Congratulations. Ok, by no means am I telling you not to lose weight just giving you some advice. My SIL lost 10 pounds weeks before her wedding and of course didn't even think it would affect her dress but it did. Just warning you to make sure if you start to lose, great but try your dress on before the wedding. Poor SIL tried it on 2 days before and it hung on her. She wasn't trying to lose weight just with stress and all it did and they did a mad rush to get it ready.
So go ahead.. You can do it, just wanted to give you the suggestion.
I think I lost some weight to before my wedding, your so busy plans take over. Enjoy0 -

The exact same thing happened to me! I'm an attorney also, and it is so easy to get caught up at work and forget about working out. No more burning calories walking across campus! Good luck, and congrats on your wedding!0 -
My advice is relax, eat healthy, stay away from junk food and excerise normlly. Don't get too focused on loosing weight right now.. the month before a wedding is stressful and and dieting will only add to the stress. -plus you will most likely be eating out a lot on the honey moon.. people tend to gain a few lbs while on vacation. I was so obsessed about loosing "just a few more lbs" before my wedding.. it back fired and I became so stressed that I gained 10 lbs and had to have my dress let out.. besides it is better to loose slowly 1-2 lbs per week at the most. 6 weeks is not a lot of time to loose a bunch.0
