Happy Friday

I've managed to get through most of the intense exercise week without varying the workout. Looks like today will be more elliptical and walking. I'm going to try some incline walking today and see how that goes.

I really need to pay more attention to HOW I'm eating. I caught myself entering my calories last night while munching on some new snacks. Yeah, that's eating mindfully :noway:
The snacks are these wonderful cinnamon sugar chips from Tampa, FL that we discovered on the vacation. samisbakery.com, millet and flax cinnamon chips - even viviakay could have them, I think! Good for you, but very addicting. I do find it hard to believe they have 8 grams of fiber per serving and only 12 carbs, but I'm not going to stress over it.

Wow, I just looked outside and there is water falling from the sky!

I think I could eat those chips! Want! I'll look and see if I can find them. (I've run into a few "food importing law" snags for many of my favorite non-forbidden snacks. . . .everytime I go to the states, I smuggle back a few cases of Clif Nectar chocolate walnut bars. (want!) So, if I ever get arrested at the border, that's why.

Today is a dance class (newly added on Friday nights, and may be canceled due to lack of enrolment. . . .) I'll walk there and back in what is supposed to be 32 (celcius) degree heat. I'm pretty sure that's 90-something, but I fear to convert it. I could open all the windows and practice my bikram poses.

I'm finishing teaching next week, and looking forward to re-establishing more vigorous workouts. I've had several days where at 4 pm, I look at my calories and decide not to do cardio because I already need to eat 1000 calories before bedtime. This is wrong, but I'm just "snacking" during my teaching day, and the calories don't add up. (I don't have any break all day for 9 hrs.) It is a great improvement over last summer, where I was literally eating nothing all day while teaching, and I was a breakfast skipper. (stoopid.)

Happy workouts ladies. I'm off to google those chips, and double check on the "millet issue" (can't remember if it's allowed or not).

    Good Morning!

Um...the cinnamon flax yummylicious chips sound amazing! Right now I've become moderately addicted to the cinnamon flat bread from Trader Joe's...soo good with a cup of tea.

Mary -- I'm on "light week" and find it SO hard! I know you were on vacay so it probably threw off your plan, but I find it virtually impossible to make myself eat less/ exercise less. I keep wanting to burn tons of cals so that I can eat more. 1200 just doesn't seem like enough...

Vivia -- I'd be happy to accomodate your "fix" -- if you ever need me to send you a box of Clif bars just holler. As they say...first one's free! Just kidding. It would be the easiest thing in the world, so let me know.

BASEBALL GAME TODAY!!!! Wheeeeeee! Going to get a workout in early so I can get it done.

    Yesterday:
~ Crazy power sculpting class -- burns 777 calories in less than an hour. Intense!
    ~ No sweets
    ~ Kept within my calories
    ~ Took my vitamins

    Today:
    ~ Light weights for arms
    ~ 20 minutes elliptical
    ~ 20 minutes yoga

Oh, wait, we're not in the third grade anymore? Darn!
Have an amazing time tonight! :flowerforyou:

I ended up doing some lunges, squats, crunches & pushups last night. I don't have any energy and know if I try to burn anything extra I might back-track on feeling better. I have however lost 5lbs and am in better control of my diet.

One more big dress shopping trip to Charlotte tomorrow. If I don't find anything "amazing" there, then I'm gonna get the one I have on hold here. Please say some prayers that they put the most perfect gown on clearance or something for me. I can't stomach paying the thousands they charge for designer gowns. It's clearance price or no deal for me!

Hi ladies....sad to say no exercise for me today. My brother-in-law had a major heart attack last night and four stents put into his right artery and 80% blockage in the other so it was a very late night last night and then spent the day at the hospital again waiting for him to be transferred to another hospital for bypass surgery. 3 1/2 hours sleep takes away the desire to work out and I will be having simple pizza for dinner so I'm down for the count today.

Hope you all had a better day...

Julie so sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. Hope his surgery went well.

yesterday did my 20 minutes of walking and went on a field trip so lots of extra driving, gave me a sore back. :frown: oh well.

Hang in there Julie. I'm sure we can all do a few extra minutes for you! The stress is probably keeping you so busy you're not eating, but at least you can find really healthy stuff in hospital cafeterias! We'll keep you and your family in our prayers! :flowerforyou:
