I can do it! Starting again...

Ok, so I am going to start this weight loss process AGAIN. I really hope I can make it to the end this time! I have been heavy all my life and would really like to change that! My entire family is thing so I really stand out. Not in a good way! I have tried many, many, many things out there but have never reached my goal. I even did a stint of HCG and only lost 5 pounds after 1 cycle and decided that it definitely was not worth it! I have always eaten a healthy diet and do watch my intake constantly. I've been keeping a food log on this site and I average 1000-1200 Calories a day. I have had my metabolism checked in the past and have had it confirmed that I have a very slow metabolism which they said was rare. It was kinda of a relief to get that test results because I knew I didn't overeat yet I am heavier than I should be (I'm 5'1" and weigh 138). I think that perhaps the fact that I have diabetes and take medication to manage it also contribute to the resistance of the weight loss. I know I need to get back to the gym. I use to go daily but gradually quite due to lack of continued motivation since my weight just doesn't budge. To get myself started I started tracking my food intake on this site. It's much easier to resist that donut that's calling your name when you have to write it down I also have signed up with a personal trainer 3X/wk for 4 weeks to get a jump start back into my fitness regime. I look forward to getting on this journey again - especially after watching "The Biggest Loser." I hope you all can come along and join me on this ride!

You can do it, yes of course you can!! I'm 5'2" and started right where you are. I wanted to get to 128 and realized that I could try for a little more... I'm at 119 right now and happily shocked that I could get there!
Love this site! Couldn't have lost a pound without it!0 -
you need to increase your calories , if you are only eating between 1000 and 1200 but working out strenuously then your body is not getting enough fuel therefore it is trying to hang onto everything it gets. Try upping your calories by about 200-300 and see if it helps. Good luck. Hang in there I know it can be hard when you are not seeing results but you will get there if you keep at it...0
