Kind of a tough day today.....

one of the reasons it took me so long to finally come around again is the fear that I would put in all this hard work and not lose this weight. After feeling really good for my first week, today that old fear kept popping up. When I had the Lap-band, I worked so hard that first year to eat good, within the guidelines given me, and exercised. I now know, part of the reason for my failure is my daily calories were to low -- an average of 750 a day. After my weight loss stalled, I became so discouraged.
Now, I'm working with the band again, with a different strategy and I believe I will succeed. I mean the formula is simple -- Eat healthy, eat within the goals MFP has set for me, exercise, and the weight should come off, right?
I don't expect drastic huge amounts in a short amount of time -- but I am hoping 6 months from now I will have lost a decent chunk. I just want to feel better, look better, and be more comfortable with myself.
I guess I just needed to get that anxiety off my chest tonight.....thanks for listening, or rather, reading

I know how that goes... the best advice - get a seamstress tape and not only go by the scale but by true measurements and how YOU feel. The scale can be so depressing!0

I very much know how you feel. I have problems staying motivated. I have a large amount of weight to lose but I take it no more than 15 lbs at a time. I also go to the gym and have made good friends with the gym owner. I know he expects to see me, that makes the gym part easier. Food choices is a problem because I was feeling hungry all the time and I would eat whatever I wanted on the weekends, but I was still losing .4 or .6 lbs. Every loss, whether it be inches, lbs, ounces is a loss and should be celebrated. I'm crazy like this, but I do an extra few minutes working out to celebrate a loss...that's what gives me the motivation...to FEEL BETTER. I have 4 boys I need to set a good example for...and my boyfriend is amazing...his love motivates me. WHATEVER you need in the way of support, please let me know, I will do anything to help you out! We're in this together!!0

You both are so right.....I think rather than weighing myself weekly, I will do it every other. I contemplated using a measuring tape, but now I think I will definitely do that. It'll be awesome to see inches, since my progress won't always show on the scale.
I talked to my honey as well, and he also gave me some perspective.
Thank you both very much.....FEELING BETTER is the reason I will be getting up in the morning for another workout0
