You know those people who actually enjoy working out? Well I used to think they were a bit strange... but I seem to be turning into one of them!
I joined my local gym about 2 weeks ago and have just done a workout - and honestly, I feel amazing! I've spent the last couple of days moping about over my ex (who wasn't right for me but that doesn't stop me missing him), and tonight I tried a new class, not really knowing what to expect - and wow!
I'm now completely worn out and probably won't be able to move tomorrow, but I feel so good! Really happy, confident, and my body is tired but in a good way, kind of like when you spend the day on the beach or out walking and get home all tired but feeling great. I'm also starting to notice the change in my body, I look leaner and more toned, and can't wait to see how I look in a couple of months! And I have burned over 300 exercise calories today, and look forward to eating every single one of them
How can I have got to age 31 and not discovered this before? Who needs drugs* and alcohol when you can exercise?!!!
Ok, I know I'm getting a bit over-excited, but I feel so good! Has this happened to anyone else?
* note - I don't take drugs, it was just meant to express how good I feel!

Haha - note no disclaimer on the alcohol... :drinker: :drinker:0 -
I totally get what you mean! I used to hate to exercise, then I started to and really loves the way it makes me feel. Then last summer I slowly started to taper down the exercise and as a result the weight came back up. So a few months ago I started up my love of exercise and low and behold my weight went down. Weird huh?
Anyhow, this summer's goal to to keep it up! The exercise that is !
Good luck to you!0 -

Well no, I don't want to get TOO carried away! Although I have been drinking less since I split up with my ex and I definitely feel better for it. I used to drink every weekend but it's become a much more occasional thing, and I don't really want to drink, because I know I will feel awful the next day (and not enjoy my yoga class as much!). The exercise makes me want to take care of my body more, I'm drinking more water, eating better - it's all really good, and in fact, I don't think I've ever felt this good before!
Loveit, I did a legs bums and tums class, which I think is like circuit training - there's a separate thread on here if you want to find out more.
It's great to hear everyone's stories and that you're all enjoying the exercise too!0 -
I just signed up for MFP today! I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of the posts and inspirational stories. I have about 15 pounds to lose and I love exercising too - I just come up with plenty of excuses not to do it  (see that, that is me saying all my lame excuses out loud!)0

Welcome! You're in the right place, I only have 7 pounds to lose now and I'm sure I can do it with the help of MFP!0
