Okay, I am very confused, and maybe someone can explain this to me. I am not losing. I have actually gotten bigger from when I started. I am up at least 2 and a half pounds. I have been watching what I eat and for the most part I am staying at or under my calorie goal with jsut a few slips here or there. With that I have been working out as much as I can get to the gym, 4 or 5 times a week. Yet I have not dropped. I haven't even remained the same. My weight has increased. The only thing that has gone down is my waist... by a single inch.
Now I know that muscle weighs more then fat and the you retain water, but what is keeping me from shrinking. Does anyone have a suggestion or reason for this????

Hard to say with any detail, as you have your diary private.

But I'd say it's largely because you are starting with a small amount to lose. Being relatively thin, you will not lose quickly.

Some people lose water weight when making changes, but especially for those with little to lose, a lot of people gain in the first week or two.

Give it time. You won't lose at the same rate as someone who has a lot more fat to lose. Make sure you're eating enough, and eating healthy. Drink lots of water. And be patient. Stay committed and strong!

You do realize you just contradicted yourself there, right?

If I didn't have to sleep soon, I'd point out all the other contradictions in your post.

I'm not saying that to be mean. I'm saying that because the scale means nothing. What matters is how your clothes fit and how you feel (other than the scale went up so OMG MY DIET ISN'T WORKING!!!!!).

You're losing inches which means you're obviously doing something right so don't sweat the couple pounds on the scale. (Oh, you know what I mean!)
