Exercise when ill

I'm feeling poorly today. I have a fever and chest congestion. I skipped my AM work out and opted to sleep in - however, I'm wondering if I can do moderate exercise later today?

I'm doing P90X and am in Week 8 - my second question is, if I skip working out for a few days - should I re-do Week 8 or move on to week 9? It's supposed to be my core syng today, kenpo tomorrow and stretch Thursday. I'm thinking I may just do stretch later today or Fountain of Youth Yoga.

Any suggestions?

If it makes a difference, I've not eaten, had green tea but not wanting food at all.

I haven't tried P90X (yet), but, when I am feeling ill, I still do *something*. Generally I do yoga if I am feeling bad, unless I am really, really, really sick. I need to keep the habit of exercising daily just for my own personal time-management issues.

I hope you are on the mend and feeling better soon.

Here's a great artcle from Mayo Clinic about just this... they say if you have a fever... skip the workout and recover

If its in your chest then I would recommend resting your body completely or do very light exercise.
