if the scales says weight is dropping and the measuring tape shows a drop or two in inches, why do my clothes (aka pants) seem to be fitting exactly the same way.....curious:huh:

LOL! I love that answer! Maybe.. you should sit down and have a long talk with them...
anyways.. seriously, perhaps this makes sense.. (a shot in the dark)
You know how you can put on a pair of tight jeans in the morning, and by the end of the day they are loose.. or at least fitting comfortable (depending on HOW tight they were) well perhaps its not that they are fitting the same.. maybe they are just not having to adjust as much.. maybe??0 -

I'll bet that while the scale is moving and your measurements are getting smaller you just haven't lost enough yet to go down a size. Also if you're doing a lot of strength training or weight lifting, the increase in muscle size will also play a part (note I did not say BULK because you will not have bulked up enough if at all in that amount of time). For example, my waist size shrank enough that I should have been able to wear this new pair of jeans I bought a while ago, but my leg muscles had filled with glycogen stores and had increased in size so they didn't fit around my thighs lol. I'll take it! I'd rather have the muscle than fat.0 -
I was JUST thinking this this past weekend. To my dismay, I realized that my jeans that I thought fit perfect 10 pounds ago really fit tight and now fit perfect (ok-a little looser).0

I'm thinking that a lot of stuff, like jeans, shrink in the dryer, so when we first put them on, they seem to fit properly. If we hadn't lost weight, they'd be uncomfortably snug when we first put them on.
Wait until the end of the day and see how lose your jeans fit after they've stretched out a bit.
Speaking for myself, I enjoy that I don't have to stealthily unbutton my jeans when I sit down anymore.0 -

I was going to say exactly what she said! Even now when I buy jeans at my new size I wonder...will these fit me after I wash them? Or is this a fluke? It shouldn't be like that...its mean! I remember I had lost between 15-20 pounds right before spring/summer and I eagerly pulled out my summer clothes to watch them fall off of me. To my dismay, none of them did! They were all "slightly" baggy. I felt SO ripped off! Infact some of my shorts felt as though they were just barely fitting me in the right spots. I think it just takes time for our bodies to adjust to what we are doing. Water weight, inches from places we don't want to loose it...lol...things like that. I know the feeling all too well though. Before ya know it though you will be posting "HELP! Can't get to store soon enough to buy belt to hold up pants!!!")

You need to work on changing your body composition.

Maybe the bulk of the weight isn't coming off the places you would like? The first places I noticed the weight coming off was my hands, feet and face. The rest of the body will follow soon if you keep it up! You are doing great!0

i notice a difference in my stomach so thats one place it can come off lol! thank you all for your responses, even the light hearted ones, they helped a bit....im gauging it mostly by a smaller pair of 16s i have that i couldnt button and zip 2 wks ago....this past sun i tried em on and got em up, buttoned and zipped, but their still a bit tight....maybe a few more weeks?0 -
I'm wondering that myself. I think I must be losing all my weight from my ankles or something. :laugh:0

Sometimes it takes a good 10 15 pounds, if your like me at all I hang on to those big clothes and probably wore them on the tight side. So maybe now they are just now fitting:)0
