Rapid Weight Loss

So I'm pretty new to this site, I've only been on about a week, and I'm wondering how accurate my "goals" are. I'm supposed to be losing a pound and a half a week, and like I said, I've only been on here for a week. But, staying very close to my goals, I've already lost seven pounds. I'm wondering if it's pretty common to lose a lot right at first and maybe it tapers off a bit later, or if I've miss judged my activity level and should actually be eating more. I'm not necessarily complaining, but everybody says if you lose it too quickly, you'll gain it back just as quickly, and I DO NOT want that.
Any ideas?

It is completely normal to lose quite a bit at first. Most likely, it's water weight that you've lost.0

I've heard that it's ok when you first start out because it could be water. I also heard that the more weight that you have to lose, it comes off rather quickly, so don' tlet it bother you too much. After about a month, those big numbers should begin to drop. Congrats on losing 7 lbs in a week...0
