We have hamburger meat set out, and are about to go to the dollar store because we dont have much of anything to make a meal out of with it, and we are 45min-1hr from any grocery store.

What could I make?

Do you have potatoes and mixed veggies or any kind of veggie? Could make a shephards pie?

Tacos? That's a "go-to" meal at our house when I'm out of ideas.

whats closer Subway or the Grocery Store ?? Brown hamburger and freeze it. Run to Subway. I think that is our dinner for tonight because we will be on the go.

They're about the same distance. We live in a pretty small town. Post office, gas station, schools, thats it

Boyscout meals. You put your hamburger patty and whatever else you want (like potatoes or onion and pepper, etc) in a pouch you make from aluminum foil and bake it in the oven. NO CLEAN UP!

    Ground beef quesadillas

If your dollar store has a freezer aisle
Get shredded cheese, can of salsa, can of mushrooms and tortillas
If you have onions at home add those in

Saute everything either together (after beef has cooked) or separately to layer.

If it was a dollar tree you would've only spent 4 bucks!

Good luck figuring it all out :)

The first time I ever had these we called the Hobo Dinners...mostly because we cooked them over a fire. But they are DELICIOUS!!!

One of our favorite quickie hamburger recipes is Hamburger and Rice. First I make 2 cups of minute rice. Then, in a big pot, I brown one pound of hamburger and season with salt/pepper/garlic powder. When the meat is nearly done, I dump in a can of corn and stir for a couple of minutes. Then dump the rice in the pot and stir it all together. My 6 year old eats this like there's no tomorrow!

1 hour away from a grocery store?! Wow. I live in Chicago so I have an insane number close by me. We also have Peapod (grocery delivery) and Grubhub (restaurant delivery) too. It's a dangerous place to live food wise. On the up side, there are also a lot of healthy restaurants, vegan, raw food, etc. Whatever you want- we have it!

As for your question... chili, meatballs, tacos, taco salad, sweet potatoes with veggies and meat mixed in, sloppy joes,
