Hi Everyone,
Meat always shrinks after it's cooked so I'm wondering, do you weigh your meat before or after it's cooked?
The nutrition panel on the package does not specify if the given information is for raw or cooked. Thank you!

I eat so little meat I don't think it matters, but I use pre cooking. I poached 6 chicken thighs yesterday package was .6 kg with 6 in them so I made a mental note that there were each 100 g (not exact but close enough). I use that to determine what I am having.

I think it's pre-cooked. When you order steak or burgers in a restaurant, they always give the pre-cooked weight.

Always weigh your meat after it has been cooked. If you weight it before you will not be getting the protein you initially weighted due to shrinkage.

Yes, weigh it after. I just saw this in a biggest loser cookbook.

I always weigh mine after cooking. That way, if I roast up a whole chicken or turkey, I can take 4 ounces for the next meal and the meal after that.
