First off...
Anyone out there in the same boat I'm in or around the same area:::::
Height: 4'11"
Current Weight: 230lbs
Goal Weight: 140lbs
I have about 90lbs to lose! I need some motivation, some support. Please members of MFP help me out!
Any ideas on how to keep my mind off of eating... oh did I mention i'm a binge eater and an emotional eater?
I basically always have to be eating something! As we speak i'm thinking of the next food item I can shove down my throat
I want to change this!
I hope I don't sound like i'm whining i'm just in desperate need of some help. I already have High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, and now I'm having problems breathing and I'm only 21 years old! I'm in desperate need of change to save my health.
Anywho thanks all for reading and for any future help and support! I appreciate it more than you know!

I think the best thing to do is find something else to spend your thoughts and energy on... reading, writing, walking, biking, dancing, etc. Also, when you're craving food, it's sometimes helpful to drink water, brush your teeth, or chew some gum. If none of that works, then stock the house with veggies, fruits, and whole grains. That way, you can still eat a lot.... but stay healthy!
Good luck!0 -
I'm in pretty much the same boat you are. I'm 5'6 and 266, wanting to get to 150. I'm also an emotional eater, not to mention a boredom eater. When I can't find anything else to do, I eat (or at least I used to). You can totally change. Watching my calories I've learned to tell the different between when I'm actually hungry and when I'm just wanting to eat. And when I just want to eat, I do something, anything, to get up and get my mind off food. Take a short walk, clean house, do some laundry...anything to redirect your mind from the food. I've been doing this for about 3 weeks now and it's really starting to work for me. You can absolutely do this!! You've already decided you want to and that's half the battle! If you want support or motivation or anything feel free to send me a friend request!0

I am also an emotional eater. The slightest thing that pisses me off or doesn't go my way, and I'm like "where are the carbs and chocolate!" ........although I'm still struggling, I have made drastic changes to that mindset. If something happens, instead of eating to satisfy yourself, go for a walk. Force yourself in the beginning and once your adjust to it, you will realize that you feel 100% better. WALK WALK WALK, then run0

Ok, this sounds kinda bad, but for some reason it works for me. When i need motivation i look at this blog. I think "hell yeah, one day i'm gunna look this good too!" I think some people take it too far with "thinspo" blogs, and alot of the girls are WAY too skinny, but i just really like looking thru the pictures. Hope it helps!
