Starting a new lifestyle

Now a new member, I am hoping My Fitness Pal can help me be realistic about my weight and how its affecting my life. Im 23 years old, a college student, and newly married but Im in the worst shape of my life. I fought with a thyroid issue the past 4 years and now I have it under control. However, over the past few years, my eating habits were out of control. I have been trying to diet but it has been an every day struggle. I've finally come the realization that this isn't going to be an over night thing, but a slowly progressing lifestyle change. With the help of my husband and friends (and hopefully you!), I hope I can reverse the damage that I have done to my body and start taking care of myself. I just hope I can stick with this and not give up again. :)

    I am so happy we are all doing this together. I have found that food is somewhat an addiction for me. I know that we will both feel better if we stick with this. I think doing this as a group will motivate us to stay on track.
