Basic Yakisoba Noodles With Chicken
This is a basic recipe I put together for a Yakisoba dish. Traditionally yakisoba is made with teriyaki sauce but I'm not a big fan of teriyaki so I made my own version. This will make approximately 5 servings
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
1pk Yakisoba noodles (6.5 cups)
3 tbsp Medium Sweet Soy Sauce, (Kwong Hung Seng brand)
Soy sauce (low sodium)
1 tbsp cayenne pepper
2 large raw Chicken breast sliced
2 carrots julienned
1/2 of a sweet onion chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
1 tbsp Olive oil
1 small brocoli crown chopped
Directions:
Heat saute pan or wok on high
Add olive oil, minced garlic and onions, sautee for 2 minutes
Add chicken breast and stir fry until almost cooked, approximately 5 minutes
Add cayenne pepper, sweet soy sauce and regular soy sauce
Add Yakisoba noodles, carrots and brocoli
Reduce heat to medium and stir fry for about 10 minutes
Note: add a little bit of water if stir fry gets too dry , about 1/4 cup
Not sure if the numbers below are correct but this what came up when I entered the ingredients in MFP database.
