Hi everyone!

I have been on MFP for almost 4 weeks. I have gone from 167.4lbs to 161.2lbs but I am aiming for 154lbs (11 stone)

Atm I have a goal calorie intake of 1380 (before exercise) and wanted to know if and when I reach my 154lb goal, can I change my goal to maintain current weight? If so, will this increase my goal calories for the day!???

    Yes yo can and yes it will increase your caloric intake

    MFP has a maintenance mode :wink: , so once you are at your goal, change your weekly loss to maintain and it will do the calculations for you.

  • yes it will change the amount of calories, as at the moment your calorie goal is to create a deficit so you lose weight. approx 1lb loss is a deficit of approx 3500calories. But when you do start to maintain add the extra calories on really slowly, let your body get used to it and adapt itself.

    Oh...thats quite an increase...........and this wouldnt make you gain!???

    I've had mine set at loosing 1lb a week but I have lost almost 7lbs in 4 weeks but im always under my calories by 2/300 on a good day but not sure I can keep it up FOREVER hence asking the question about my goals being increased...so I can consume some proper food...like say for instance a Pizza!!!!!

    No you shouldn't gain, I switched to maintenance over christmas, (well all of December really!) so I could indulge a little and I stayed the same.
