I am clueless when it comes to eating the best way. I know it is about properly balancing all aspects of the food you eat but what is a heathly grams of fat intake to shoot for?

  • It depends on how many calories you are consuming. If you are a typical woman on a reasonable 1300 calorie diet, that's 28 to 50 g of fat per day, if you want to count fat grams.

Depends on your weight. Don't fall for the high carb, low fat diet. High protein, low carb, high fat is good for you, especially when your fat is coming from natural sources like hormone-free beef & chicken.

1/2 of my calories every day come from fat. I only take in up to 20% of carbs, leaving me 30-40% protein.

To be honest- I have always been really sucessful with the 30/40/30 method- 30% of your diet from healty fats. A REALLY god book for this issue is THE EAT CLEAN DIET by Tosca Reno. Even though I have a really hard time eating "clean" all the time, her basic nutrition philosophy is great!

some ppl might say super low or none. but fat can help some. in skin, proper digestion, etc. but sometimes it can depend on the person, body type, health, lifestyle, as to how much is good.

    i'd say 25 to 35 percent
  • you should eat good fats and good fat prevents conditions such as heart disease, cancers, immune system deficiencies, arthritis, skin complaints, PMS and menopausal symptoms.

amount of fat consumed for women on diets should be around 50g
