OT: Something in church today

I just feel so good to be a Christian today that I had to share.
My church is sponsoring an Iraq refugee family and they were able to come to the service today. They are a beautiful family! The father is Haydar, the mother Nala and their 5 year old son Ali(adorable by the way, smiling the whole time). Various people have donated items and time to this family to help them get acclimated.
I guess one of the men was talking to Haydar through a translator at one point saying that he wanted to welcome him to go out with the men for dinner or to just talk..and Haydar said "I am just grateful to be able to bring food home to my family". (He starts his new job tomorrow!)
It was just very humbling to hear! And my heart was warmed for sure!
I am thinking about donating my time to help Nala go shopping since she lives in my neighborhood.
Anyway, i just wanted to share this....hope it puts a smile on your face or warms your heart as it has mine.
and God Bless!

We helped a katrina family, and their gratefulness to get out of their circumstances and to be able to start a new life in a place where they could afford to live was wonderful to behold. Thanks for sharing, Tam0

They are off to a wonderful start thanks to your church.
That would be a very nice thing to do Tiramisu.
Much luck for the family:flowerforyou:0 -
Tam, don't worry about taking time off to spend with her, that poor family has been through enough as it is.
