Ok, today is going to be the ultimate test of my willpower! I came over to my parents house to use their elliptical (yay...after 2 months of being a member of MFP I've FINALLY started to work out!) And what do they have in the house?! DONUTS AND PIZZA!!!! grrrrr. :grumble: I'm hoping the fact that I just worked out is going to keep me from digging in....but It's been forever since I've had either of those and they are my favorite...so I thought if I told you guys it'd keep me from caving in (the embarrassment of admitting that I don't have willpower, perhaps?) So....I'll keep you posted!

Ok, I don't want to play devil's advocate here, but could you go a while longer on the elliptical to "earn" a doughnut or a piece of pizza? If they're both your favorites, maybe it would be worth it since you don't have them all the time now (or at least as much as you would like)? Check out the calorie count and calculate how much you need to burn in advance.....GL. :flowerforyou:

I agree with pam, and if you have been doing good, dont torture your self, by fighting too hard, everybody deserves a day off, again I am not trying to play devils advocate either, but just dont kick yourself if you give in a little!

Treating yourself is good to do.

What you need to learn from this is that your mind is your worst enemy and learning to take control over it at times like these.

When you succeed once in awhile you will be very proud of yourself and feel all that much more powerful in achieving your goals.

So, did you bite the donut or the pizza first?

YAY I am so proud of myself. I figured that I could have a half a sandwich some potato salad and rasins for the same calories as pizza....so that got me over wanting the pizza. Ahh, but the donuts, those were hard to resist....BUT I DID! Which is awesome because I usually do good one day bad the next, good one day, bad the next. But by resisting temptaing this is the first time since starting MFP 2 months ago that I will have TWO good days in a row! lol Ahhh, it's the little things in life :blushing:

Thanks for all of our support and suggestions!
