Why you should also be lifting weights

What I've noticed is that when I'm at the gym or hear girls talk about working out, its always cardio. Rarely do I see girls hit weights very much.

Adding to that article, weights also give you the benefit of tightening up loose skin. If you have a lot of weight to lose and you have very little muscle, your skin is going to be more pronounced. Think of it this way, if two people went from 200lb to 130lb, but one of them incorporated weights to their regimen, I guarantee that the person who added weights would look much better than the person who didn't.
Its also a common misconception that if you lift you'll bulk up. This only applies to men and even then its hard for guys to produce muscles as it is. Women would have to be lifting to the extreme to produce any kind of bulk, so don't worry about looking manly from doing weights.
