gym membership prices

I noticed today that the annual membership has gone up at my gym by £150 pound. This makes it just short of £500 a year which is very expensive for the state of the gym.
Is anyone here a member of one of the following - fitness first, david lloyd or virgin active? How much are your memberships and do you think its worth the price? i.e. are the gyms in a good state with decent classes, equipment working and not missing and clean?

We just joined the YMCA for $49 a month. But has world class equipment, and facilities. That also includes 4 sessions with a PT for me and my wife...each. Plus all the classes that are free. And there are some classes that aren't free. I think the value is amazing.0

Hi, I'm a David Lloyd member
I think its £140 a month for the three of us (Family GYM membership, 2 Adults 1 Child)
It costs more if you want to be a Full Member (Tennis & Squash)
Do I think it's worth the price, No but if I cancelled the membership :noway: my wife would Kill me !!!!!0
