I was wondering if brand new arc-trainers calculate calories burned accurately. The one's at my gym are shiny new, but a lot of people on here say that you only really burn about 70% of what the machines say you do. I'm wondering if this is why I haven't been losing because I eat most of the calories that those machines say I burned. If I really work at it I can burn 400 calories in half an hour but that seems like a LOT.
Also, anyone know where one can get a heart rate monitor cheaply?
