Anything that's high in protein, yet has some carbs and a bit of fat (for scientific reasons ... its not a coincidence that post-workout shakes and bars coincidentally have this formulation!). My favorite is chocolate or strawberry Light Muscle Milk. Yummo!
  • String cheese and almonds.
    Apple and peanut butter
    Protein shake.

I like 1 TBSP of honey. It is a little over 60 cals and has other great health benefits :)

Agree with trainerrobin except for protein bars -- they tend to have extra junk. For less $$ I can make my own bars that are much better and less expensive.

Protien shake, oats, egg whites, Ezekiel bread (sesame is delish).
    Shredded Wheat original..

Optimum nutrition is my fav protien powder.
  • Thanks alot everyone!! I am making my list to keep a variety of things on hand. I get bored easily so this helps for me to have several options!!

Agreed re some of the bars. Just have to choose very carefully and read the nutritional labels to ensure you get a good quality one. There are plenty of junky "candy bars" out there, posing as nutritional bars!
