I usually will do a dipping sauce and bread, and red wine...NUM!!!!!!!!!!

This is what I am cooking tonight...Although I always say it wrong and pronounce it "Tal-ap-itha" and then my husband says, (in my ugly man voice) "Do you want cream with that?" Grrrr...

So, don't have cream with it, but do a dipping oil and a favorite bread. It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it when I make it and add a spoiled extra. I just stay light without breads during the day. I also make sure I measure everything out, because this could be a downfall, but I love it and hate to take away some of my favorite treats like this...Errr...yes, measure the red wine too!

Have you ever done dipping sauces? YUM! Everyone I introduce them to, becomes addicted.

Tilapia is an inexpensive and tasty fish. I like to chop up a few cloves of garlic, seed and devein 1 jalapeño pepper (keep the veins if you like it hot), chop some cilantro, brush it with olive oil, and put all of it in a hot grill pan on my gas grill. It only takes a few minutes to cook and the taste is really bold. I sometimes chop bell pepper and toss a few cherry tomatoes in the pan too.

The good news is that this combination works with other white fish cuts too.

    Enjoy!

Hey!!! You don't have to lie to eat it...Publix sells it for about $11 for four pieces. No need to lie, just walk up to the fish guy and ask! He won't judge you!

    Just messing with you!

You can get big packs of tilapia filets at wegmans and walmart - about 10-12 fillets for 6-7$.

See? Two votes bread with olive oil...have you ever added the spices to your olive oil for dipping?

dipspicesetoliveoil.jpg Lookie!!! The entire recipe in this picture! LOL

Find your favorite bread, purchase extra virgin olive oil, and then do you see the round container of spices in the photo? That's all you need! I have tiny bowls I do mine in...Add ingredients according to the spice container, stir with a fork, let it sit for about 10 minutes so the spices and oil can absorb, then dip bread and munch! YUM! You can find the mixed spices at Publix, and they have four different flavors in the container usually. DELISH!

I LOVE bread and oil with spices. I bought the thing of the spices like in the picture but I bought it in a "basket" thingy and it included lil white ceramic dishes perfect for making different types when I have people over :)

It isn't "super fishy" at all. I went to the store and asked our seafood guy for something light, not fishy...He recommended tilapia. I don't even cook it fancy at all but my hubby and children gobble it up! I spray a pan with PAM cooking spray, and then cook it either on the stove or BBQ. I wait until the sides turn white, flip it over and cook the top. Maybe 9 minutes tops?

NUM!!! I'm so hungry now. LOL

Costco sells frozen breaded Tilapia that my family loves! It's an easy way to get in another fish dish during the week. We have whole wheat couscous from Trader Joes - I throw in some cashews and cranberries or raisins and a salad and bread - YUM. :flowerforyou:
