I'd love to connect with some working moms on here to find out how you make time for excersize! I need some major motivation!

I am a working mom but will not be back on the diet and exercise thing for another two months because I am about to have another baby. Honestly I used to take Rion in the jogger and I would run. Or take him to the park and participate just stuff like that.0

HELLO! Working mom of two here (ages 5 and 1)..The easiest thing that works for me is to exercise at home. I swear by the Walk at Home program with Leslie Sansone. Its easy, yet challenging..you get a great burn, and I can do it at home any time of the day! hope this helps!0

I am with you!!! I would like to "hear" the responses too! I work ALOT and have young children.... So unless I get up at 4 AM, I have a HARD time fitting in a work out!0

My kids are grown, but when my oldest was still with me we use to workout together. Granted she wasn't a toddler, but if your children are old enough its a good way to get them to exercise and start healthy habits. Get them started with you!0

I am a working mother of a 3 year old. I use the eliptical and the Wii at home but I am lucky enough to work for a company that has an onsite gym so the majortiy of my workouts are on my lunch break.0

I'm lucky that we have a gym here at the office. I workout on my lunch breaks. When it's sunny, I run outside (we have a lot of good running spots around the office) Once a week, I also use my hour long break to drive to my trainer's (1 mile away) and get a personal training session in. If I didn't workout on my noon hour, my only other option would be to wake up 40 minutes earlier and do it before the kids are up for the day. Otherwise, it's a lost cause. On the weekends, we take bike rides (me pulling 70 pounds of kids, including the bike trailer behind).0

I am a working mom of 3 (7, 5 and 1) and I make time by going on my breaks and walking around the parking lots of my building and the nearby buildings. I take 3 walks a day, and when and if I have time at home, my hisband watches the kids for a bit so I can go to the city gym or do a little bit of Wii Fit at home. So far, it's working for me ... Good Luck!

I'm not a working mom but are with my girls (Ages 4 and 2) all day. I do Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, its around 27 mins with warm up and cool down but burns major calories. My girls usually watch their favorite video during that time or just play with their dolls in the dining room (I workout in the living room) so they can still be close to me.0

I am a working mom but I have a supportive family. I exercise in the evenings so my aunt, my hubby, or my mom, keeps my 2-year-old (depending on whom she feels like being with at the time), but the 11-year-old likes to go with me to my Zumba class--so I have her with me. If you have some equipment in your home, try exercising when the child is sleeping or when you have somebody there to watch him/her while you exercise. If you have a Wii or an Xbox gaming system, that good for exercise as well. Running around the house chasing your child can be exercise just like cleaning is. The point is to get the body moving and keep it moving for about 30 minutes or more.0

I am a working mother of 2 (2 1/2 & 1) and have to drive about 45 minutes to my office, so that leaves very little room for working out! I get up at 4:30 or 5 am (depending on the length of workout) so that I can exercise and then get everyone ready for the day. If I can't get my butt out of bed (which is more often than I would like!), I do a workout in the evening - usually when dinner is in the oven. That way I have the rest of the night to spend with the kids & husband.
Several of my co-workers go walking together durin their lunch breaks. Others, who apparently look great even after working out, go to the Y over lunch and take a class. You do whatever works best for you and your family. Even if it means getting up earlier than you'd like to, you'll feel better about yourself and be able to take better care of your family in the long run!
Good luck!0 -
I am a working, single mom of two (15 & 11). I am currently doing Insanity & P90X at home and training for a half marathon four days a week. I do get up at 4 AM to do my Insanity workout. I do my P90X and run after work. I also cook a hot breakfast and dinner for myself and my kids. I run a home-based business with Beachbody and work 30 minutes to an hour on that each night. I work 45-50 hours per week in my full-time job. I help both my kids with their homework and do a little light housework each night. My heavy housework, grocery shopping and miscellaneous errands are all done on the weekends.
I do not watch much television but I never miss my favorite shows. I cannot live without the DVR! I also do not play video games, games on the computer, or chat on the computer. I do what MUST be done and get on with other things.
My kids and I have one day a week for family time, no work, just play and each other.0 -
I am a woking mom of three little ones! (4, 2, and 1). The only way I have found to get in any excersice is to do it when they go to bed. It took me a long time to get over this, but it is the only time I have ( I am NOT a morning person!) My kids are usually in bed by 8 and that is when my husband and I go into the basement to do P90x. I am sooo tired by this point, but i am more tired of being overweight. Once i get going i feel a lot better. good luck to you!0

I'm a working mom and i leave home at 6:40 and return by 5:30 then i have to cook, help my 10 yr old with her homeowrk, clean, get things ready for the next day then bath for my 16month old. I exercise 30 min after i eat. I tell all the other kids to go in the room and i put on my Biggest Loser Xbox Kinect for 30 min and i go at it. Sometimes my son is screaming hollering but i ignore him cause he just wants my attention all the time. I have him spoil. I usually put him in his high chair or the playpen and have him near me so he can see me then after my workout i continue to do the nightly things makeing sure things are ready to go for in the morning. Its hard work but its all wourth it when the summer starts and those summer dresses....lol0

Same here. I've lost 5 lbs so far, but it doesn't seem like enough. I'm frustrated about my evening routine - leave work @ 4:00, stop by house and grab snacks, pick up 3dds from school, get back home and try to put dinner on the table before the baby begins to scream. I don't really have time to cook anything healthy, so the evenings end with me either stopping somewhere to get a quick bite on the way home or gorging on whatever I find when I enter the house because I probably won't have time to eat once the dds get home. Argh!0

I would love to work out on my lunch break but I hate getting back to work sweaty & then I feel gross for the rest of the day... even if I shower, you don't stop sweating, ya know? Anybody deal with that?0

I am a single working mother going to school 2 nights a week. The downside to my exercising routine is that I have to workout after my son goes to sleep then I don't want to go to bed for another couple of hours. I have found that workout dvds at home work better for spending more time with your kid. I am working on adding to my collection, but I have Zumba for the Wii, Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones, P90X, Biggest Loser Cardio Workout, Pilates, and Hip Hop Abs. I like variety for workouts because I hate doing the same thing all the time. Find out what works best for you!0

I wake up at 5am to workout (if I work out). That's the only time I can get it done during the week. If I try to put it off til night, it won't get done.0
