Tightness?

Hey everyone! I've been doing great with my workouts and am really enjoying them. I mix things up everyday. My problem is every time I run on the treadmill, when I get off to stretch my legs are really tight. I can normally touch my toes after every other workout, but it's seriously painful when I try to stretch that far after a run (my C25K). I've also noticed it after I do a Jillian Michaels workout. Is this normal? Should I just keep stretching it out?

You have been working the muscles so they are tight, yes they need to be stretched. If they become too tight you will get imbalances.0

Every fourth day that you workout you may want to do a stretch / yoga workout. Since you're already doing JM, you can check out her Yoga Meltdown. It sounds like you need a good stretch weekly.0

you need one of those long stryo-foam rollers, you sit on it and roll out your IT bands -- make you cry
but you get use to it. Or take a solid rolling pin and roll in up and downt he sides of your thighs to get those IT bands to relax

Thanks everyone. I notice when I incline walk on the treadmill, I'm fine after. When I do C25K or a Jillian Michael DVD my legs are really tight and sore.0
